Narrative:THE RELATIVELY INEXPERIENCED PRIVATE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO LAND HIS AIRPLANE ON A GRAVEL BEACH AS THE TIDE WAS RECEDING. HE FAILED TO MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL AND THE AIRPLANE WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED IN THE ENSUING GROUND LOOP.
