Narrative:ACCORDING TO THE STUDENT PLT, HE WAS ATTEMPTING TO HOVER THE HELICOPTER WHEN HE ENCOUNTERED TURBULENCE. THE STUDENT PLT STATED THAT THE HARD LANDING WHICH FOLLOWED RESULTED IN SPREADING THE SKIDS & SEVERING THE TAILBOOM.
