Narrative:THE PLT CLAIMED A LOSS OF POWER DURING TAKEOFF. HE TURNED AND ATTEMPTED A LANDING ON THE ARPT. THE RWY WAS OVERRUN AND THE ACFT STOPPED IN A WHEAT FIELD. POST ACCIDENT EXAMINATION OF THE ENGINE REVEALED NO DISCREPANCIES.
