WHILE IN CRUISE FLIGHT THE ENGINE FAILED DUE TO A FAILURE OFTHE CRANKSHAFT. THE CRANKSHAFT WAS NOT EXAMINED TO DETERMINEWHY IT FAILED. THE PILOT EXECUTED A FORCED LANDING TO AN OPEN FIELD.
