The aircraft, an experimentally Neal K. Longwill kit built Lancair Legacy FG, N550NL, was destroyed when it crashed and a post crash fire ensued at Spicewood Airport (88R), Spicewood, Texas.
The sole pilot onboard was fatally injured.
The FAA reported that the aircraft crashed under unknown circumstances while preforming touch and go's. ADS-B data shows the aircraft on a base to final turn before the track ended.
