Narrative:
On 29 June 1988, two F-16C-25Fs of 313th TFS, 50th TFW, USAF (84-1395 and 85-1401) collided and crashed near Bodenheim, 8 km South-South-East of Mainz (Rhl.-Pfalz). One pilot (Captain Mike Crandall) was killed, the other (Captain Bob McCormack) ejected and sustained neck burns and back injuries on ejection. However it had not yet been established which pilot was in which aircraft
