Narrative:
Was on a tactical/navigational mission at low altitude with simulated attack on Hikavarre skytefelt (artillery range) in
formation with another F-5A from 334 Squadron which is stationed at Bodø. The pilot lost orientation and didnt manage to return to Banak. When he ran out of fuel at a height of 12000 feet he decided to eject. The pilot second lieutenant Thorleif Schjetne laned with minor injuries 10 kms south-east at Laggo in Langfjorden. The plane hit between Laksefjord and Tanafjord. The other plane RI-A landed at Banak with empty fuel tenks.
