Narrative:The aircraft failed to return from an offensive patrol. 22-year-old Pilot Officer George Frederick Peterson did not survive and rests at the Oosterbeek war cemetery; grave 27 C 10. The grave inscription reads:
"TILL THE FIRST DAY"
In April 1945, large parts of Gelderland province were liberated by the Allies.
