Takeoff at 14:20 hrs for a patrol in the Nijmegen (Gelderland) area.
The aircraft was hit by Flak and crashed. The 24-year-old RCAF pilot, P/O. R.E. Chambers, did not survive and is buried at the Groesbeek RCAF cemetery; grave 24 D 14.
