The aircraft crash-landed in a field next to the Rolleweg near Oud Gastel, Netherlands. The cause was engine trouble. The aircraft was on a strafing mission to Gütersloh airfield, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
The pilot, Major Donald K. Willis, survived and evaded capture.
