Mosquito DZ316/M: Takeoff at 18:45hrs for PAMPA a long range meteo sortie to Malines and Aalmaar. 09/05/1943
At approx 20:30hrs a radio direction finding plot picked up returns that indicated the presence of enemy aircraft patrolling along the intended route of the mosquito.
The aircraft was shot down as it flew at 25,000 ft south of Den Helder by Haptm Robert Olejnik of the 4./JG 1, flying an Fw 190 A-5 from Woensdrecht airfield.
