Feindflug - operational sortie.
On approach to Leeuwarden, attacked by P/O D.J. Scott of No. 3 Squadron RAF, flying Hawker Hurricane Mk IIc BD868, having taken off from RAF Manston at 00:40-50 hrs. The pilot "fired three 2-second bursts, observing numerous strikes", according to the ORB. A glow appeared from the interior of the enemy machine which crash-landed 100 yards short of the flare path.
The damage was assessed as 75%.
