The aircraft was shot down by a Bf 109 while escorting an Air Sea Rescue launch off Calais. Sergeant G.W. Baker did not survive and washed up at Kijkduin (Den Haag, Zuid-Holland, the Netherlands) on the 19th of October. He rests at Den Haag cemetery; grave 1 2.
