Narrative:
de Havilland DH82a Tiger Moth MSN 85686; Taken on charge as DE772 at 29 MU RAF High Ercall, Shropshire 15.5.42. To 22 EFTS RAF Teversham, Cambridge 2.9.42. To 22 RFS RAF Teversham, Cambridge 26.6.47, coded “RCU-A”. To 11 RFS RAF Perth/Scone, Perthshire 29.1.48, coded “RCR-S”. Collided with Tiger Moth N6925 at Perth 20.7.50 and Struck Off Charge as Cat.5(FA) by 63 MU RAF Carluke 10.8.50. Brough back on charge (temporarily) at 45 MU RAF Kinloss, Morayshire 27.9.50 for disposal.

Struck of charge when sold 14.6.51 to Adie Aviation Ltd, Croydon Airport, Croydon, Surrey. UK civil registered as G-AMLG (C of R R3374) 23.8.51 to Adie Aviation Ltd, Croydon. Damaged when struck post taxying Croydon 24.9.51 after completion of C of A test flight; repaired. CofA A3374 issued 28.9.51. Registration G-AMLG cancelled 1.10.51 as 'sold'.

Re-registered in New Zealand as ZK-AZV 20.3.52 to Fieldair Ltd, Gisborne. C of A issued 13.5.52. Badly damaged when overturned by wind whilst taxying Ngapaeruru, Manawatu-Wanganui, Hawke's Bay 21.10.55. Pilot J Dudds. Registration ZK-AZV cancelled 10.7.58.

Some components of ZK-AZV were used in the restoration of Tiger Moth ZK-AZG (ex G-AMLD and T6308 before that; withdrawn from use at Gisborne in 1956). The composite airframe - partly ZK-AZV, partly ZK-AZG - went to the Gisborne Museum.
