Took off at 10:15 hrs for a Photo Recce sortie to cover Trondheim and Bergen. 04/12/1941
It is believed the aircraft was damaged by German high-level AA fire and then shot down by Fw 190 pilot Uffz Rudolf Fenten of 1/JG 77.
Mosquito W4055 crashed at 15:20hrs into the North sea off Stavanger at map reference Lg 49 433.
It is believed to the pilot A/c putting down on the water to avoid Mosquito falling into the hands of the enemy.
