Narrative:
Crashed NW of Kidlington Airfield. Aircraft pitched forward whilst hovering at very low altitude (approx 2 or 3 feet agl); the front skids hit the ground, and due to the momentum of the aircraft, it overturned. According to the following extract from the official AAB re;port into the accident:

"Aircraft hovering at approximately 2 feet when student pilot asked the instructor for help in trimming the cyclic control. However, before the instructor could reach the controls, the student released the cyclic control, causing the aircraft to pitch forward. The front skids hit the ground followed by the rotors, and aircraft eventually came to rest on its right side"

Damage sustained to airframe: Per the AAIB report aircraft "beyond economic repair". As a result, the registration G-BOCO was cancelled by CAA as aircraft "destroyed" on 06-11-1989
