Mosquito HR209: Took off at 17:25 hrs for a Day Ranger mission against transport targets in France. 04/08/1944
In the day they also took off F/O Green with F/O Sturrock.
During the flight F/O Wraight's aircraft was hit by severe and accurate anti-aircraft fire and was badly damaged. Crash-landed near Perigueux and crashed into a wood and burned, killing both of the crew.
