Narrative:
Airspeed AS-10 Oxford R6050: Delivered to the RAF in August 1940. RAF Service with 15 SFTS, 15 (P) AFU. Transferred to the USAAF: assigned to 384th Service Squadron, 97th Service Group, 8th AF, USAAF. Written off (damaged beyond repair) 9 March 1944 when crashed on take off from USAAF Station 141, RAF Bodney, 4.5 miles west of Watton, Thetford, Norfolk, after left engine quit during take off run.

Aircraft was on a sortie to USAAF Station 367, RAF Kings Cliffe, Northamptonshire. Pilot Harvey Mednick, injured, but RTD (Returned To Duty). Aircraft Struck off charge on 23 March 1944
