Narrative:
Boeing B-29-65-BW Superfortress 44-69896: Assigned to 879th Bomb Squadron, 499th Bomb Group. Assigned to 3516th Maintenance and Supply Squadron, 3510th Maintenance and Supply Group (ATC), Randolph AFB, Texas. Damaged in an accident 17 July 1951 taxying at Randolph AFB, Texas. Repaired and returned to service.

Written off (destroyed) November 30 1951: An engine failed en route, forcing all crew members to bail out and to abandon the aircraft that dove into the ground and crashed in a prairie located about ten miles southwest of Yoakum. All occupants were unhurt while the aircraft was destroyed.

Cause: Engine failure.
