The aircraft, an experimentally John J. Solt built Lancair 360, impacted the terrain shortly after takeoff from the Edmonton/Josephburg (Warren Thomas) Aerodrome (CFB6), Strathcona County, Alberta.
The airplane sustained substantial damage. The pilot was uninjured and the passenger sustained minor injuries.
