Crashed in Atlas Mountains; Flown by US Army Air Transport Command. The six person-crew all perished. The entire crew is buried together in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The crew was: Capt. Charles R. Clow (Pilot), 1st LT Herman Cohen, 2nd LT Charles S. Picher, Sgt. Henry W. Nippling, Tech Sgt Charles O. Bantz, and 2nd LT Ray E. Bailey.
