Narrative:Crashed 17/05/1945 into the Irish Sea. Aircraft assigned to The 27th Air Transport Group, part of the 302nd Transport Wing, which supported the 8th and 9th Air Forces in World War II with ferry and transport services. The pilot, 1st Lt John M. Allen, was killed: his body was not recovered
