Narrative:
Republic F-84D-10-RE Thunderjet 48-767, 79th FS, 20th FG, USAF: Written off (damaged beyond repair) October 18 1951 when Crashed on takeoff from Shaw AFB, Sumter, South Carolina. Aircraft came down 5 Miles North West of Sumter, South Carolina. Pilot James B Moreland, USAF was killed. Accident reported as "Pilot Killed in a Take Off Accident" and as a CFIT (Controlled Flight Into Terrain) as the aircraft hit terrain in flight for unknown reasons.
