Nothing to report.

a) Adverse weather conditions - contributed
The Serra do Mar presents particular meteorological phenomena, due to the low temperature associated with high humidity and the coastal breeze, which end up degrading the horizontal and vertical visibility conditions, especially at the end of the days.
b) Piloting Trial - undetermined
The pilot knew the route and thought it would be possible to overcome the Serra do Mar. It is likely that he lowered the height of the flight in order to try to get visual references with the terrain, until the collision occurs.
c) Flight planning - contributed
In planning the return flight the pilot did not consider the weather conditions of the route. An aircraft that took off previously managed to overtake the Serra do Mar flying west of the route chosen by the pilot.
