Narrative:Written off (destroyed) December 29, 1969 when crashed during the initial climb out phase from Harold Davidson Field, Vermillion, South Dakota: aircraft took off into fog at night, stalled, spun into the ground, and collided with trees. The two persons on board (pilot and one passenger) were killed. According to the official NTSB report into the accident: "Pilot in Command - Initiated flight into adverse weather conditions"
Wreckage not recovered for two days - Recovery date December 31 1969. Registration N7201Y cancelled by the FAA on July 15, 1971.
