Narrative:
Written off (destroyed) 6 January 1978 when crashed near Anniston, Alabama: aircraft experienced a CFIT (Controlled Flight Into Terrain) during a missed approach. The pilot (sole person on board) was killed. According to the official NTSB report into the accident:

"PILOT IN COMMAND - IMPROPER IFR OPERATION. COSTA RICA REGISTERED AIRCRAFT. WEATHER ABOVE MINIMA. AIRCRAFT COLLIDED WITH MOUNTAIN IN FOG AT 1,650 FEET, 7.5 MILES BEYOND AIRPORT".
