Narrative:Lost control during ACT (Aerial Combat Training), entered spin at 10,000 feet in a starboard break at 300 knots, and spun into the North Minch 200 yards offshore, 2 miles North of Point of Stoer, North West of Lochinver. (Location of loss cited as 58'15.00"N, 5'30.00"W).
Crew were later named as Lt. A. F. Hutchison (pilot) and Lt. R. P. Turnbull (navigator): both ejected through the aircraft's canopy at 8,000 feet, and were picked up unhurt by local fishing boats and then returned to Lossiemouth by SAR helicopter
