Narrative:To 24 (City of Adelaide) Sqn on 26/02/57. Aircraft stalled and crashed soon after take off from RAAF Mallala, South Australia, on 10/11/57, killing the pilot, Pilot Officer B.C. Brinkley of Adelaide. Aircraft came down 2 miles east of the airfield. Photo of wreckage shows the Mustang inverted at the crash site
Pilot Officer Brinkley was buried with full Military Honours in the West Terrace Cemetery, Adelaide.
