Narrative:
The airplane took off from Santa Rosa Airport - SERO at 15:16 to Guayaquil.
Another pilot reported observing the airplane on the ground at Isla Puná with both pilots alive. This however was only a rumor.
New reports states that the aircraft had been found crashed in a mountain near Piñas (El oro) with both pilots dead.

3.23. CAUSA PROBABLE.-
La Junta Investigadora de Accidentes estima que este accidente se produjo porque el piloto experimentó una desorientación producto del error en la selección del radial en el VOR de la aeronave, que hizo que vuele en sentido contrario al que debía seguir según el procedimiento instrumental que fue autorizado realizar por la Torre de Control.
