Narrative:Lockheed two-place monoplane crashed on take off from Rogers Dry Lake, near Muroc. Lockheed testpilot H.W. "Slim" Catlin died. Flight of the fully loaded aircraft was practice for a purposed journey from Tacoma, Washington to Tokyo, Japan.
