Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.1 L6962/'PS-D' of 264 Squadron RAF: Substantially damaged in a wheels-up forced landing 1 March 1940, in a field 1/2 mile from RAF Martlesham Heath, Ipswich, Suffolk. Cause of forced landing believed to be due to engine overheating. Both crew, including Pilot, Pilot Officer Gerald H. Hackwood were unhurt
