Narrative:
An Alpi Aviation Pioneer 200 (built by B. W. Bartlett) crashed on 25.3.2012 into a field near Brook Farm, Western Drove, Godney, near Glastonbury, Somerset after clipping some power lines.

Per the summary to the official AAIB report into the accident: "The aircraft struck power lines whilst landing at a small airstrip. The pilot was aware of the hazard but did not recall seeing the power lines before the aircraft struck them. Recent changes in the physical environment around the airstrip since the pilot last flew from there may have contributed to an unusual visual effect which caused him to fly lower on approach than he intended."

The pilot was airlifted to hospital.Damage sustained to airframe: Damaged forward and underside of fuselage, landing gear, propeller, cockpit cover and flaps. (G-CEVJ had previously crashed on 14.6.2008 at Franklyns Field, near Wells, Somerset).
