Crashed 24.4.36 at Lembang, near Bandoeng, West Java, killing one of the two persons on board. An instructor and one student pilot (a female) were performing a training flight in Lembang, near Bandoeng, West Java. Shortly after takeoff, while climbing, the single engine aircraft hit high tension wires and crashed. The instructor H. C. Keim was slightly injured while the student pilot, Mrs. Van Lierop, was killed (reportedly death by drowning - the aircraft crashed into swampland). The pilot was charged with "reckless conduct", and was sentenced to six months imprisonment from 25.9.36 (until 25.3.37). The original sentence was eight months, reduced to six months on appeal.

Registration cancelled 26.4.36. The identity of PK-SAI is unconfirmed although it was registered with c/no. 1485 and its condition on import required a total rebuild.

Lembang is a town and administrative village of West Bandung Regency in the province of West Java on Java, Indonesia. Lembang is situated between 1,312 and 2,084 meters above sea level. Its highest point is on top of Tangkuban Perahu Mt.
