Narrative: Two pilots died in a helicopter crash on Wednesday (July 11 2012) in Sao Paulo, according to the Fire Department. The aircraft used for flight instruction, crashed on a shed at 200 Guaicurus Street, in Água Branca, the West Zone of São Paulo. The accident happened around 10:20 am. LT. The helicopter had departed from the São Paulo-Campo de Marte - SBMT, in the Northern Zone, at 9:19 a.m., according to INFRAERO. According to a rough translation into English of contemporary press reports:
"Two pilots died in a helicopter crash on Wednesday (11) in São Paulo , according to the Fire Department. The aircraft used for instruction flights, fell on a shed in White Water, in the West Zone of São Paulo. The accident happened around 10:20. The helicopter had left the Campo de Mars, in the north, at 9:19 a.m., according to Infraero.
According to the commander of the 4th Combat Team of the Fire Department, José Luis Borges, died in the accident Denis Franklin Tomasi, 32, and Maílson Rocha Lopes, 23. They suffered multiple trauma. According to the record of the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), Denis is a private pilot and commercial pilot is Maílson.
With the fall, a hole opened in the roof. The tail of the aircraft broke off and stood outside the shed. The aircraft belongs to the Master School of Civil Aviation, which is also known as Go Air.
