The engine of the MD 520N (OE-XKI) helicopter failed shortly after take off from Gößkarspeicher/Kärnten. The crew decided to make an emergency landing on a snowfield. The helicopter touched down hard and suffered substantial damages. Both occupants escaped uninjured.
