Narrative:
Vickers Wellington Mk.X PF989 of 101 FRS, RAF: Written off 27.11.1951: While conducting an asymmetric (single engine) approach to RAF Finningley, South Yorkshire, the pilot-in-command lost control of the aircraft, then stalled and crashed in a field located one mile east of the airfield. The aircraft was damaged beyond repair, while all occupants survived. One source (see link #4) records the pilot as Flight Lieutenant Oldham, and the co-pilot as Pilot Officer Brian Fern
