Narrative:
Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.I N3516/'AQ-P', 276 Squadron, RAF: Written off (presumed destroyed) 7 November 1942 when went missing in the Atlantic Ocean off Dodman Point, Mevagissey, Cornwall while on an ASR search. Both crew posted as "missing presumed killed". Aircraft last reported at 1350 hrs Local time

As both crew were posted as "missing presumed killed", and no trace of Defiant N3516 or its crew were ever found, both crew are commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.

Dodman Point (Cornish: Penn Den Varow) near Mevagissey is the highest headland on the south Cornwall coast, measuring 374 feet (114 m).
