PT590: Spitfire LF IX, built at CBAF (Castle Bromwich Aircraft Factory) with Merlin M66 engine. To 33MU RAF Lyneham, Wiltshire 22-7-44. To 82MU RAF Lichfield, Fradley, Staffordshire 29-7-44 for packing and crating for shipment overseas. To 1 PATP then shipped on the ss 'Silversandal' 9-8-44, arriving Casablanca, Morocco 23-8-44. To 237 Squadron in Corsica later in 1944. To Mediterranean Air Force Command 21-6-45. Struck off RAF charge upon transfer to Aeronautica Militare Italiana (AMI - Italian Air Force) 30-5-46

Written off (damaged beyond repair) 7-3-47 when crashed at Borgo San Pelagio, Trieste, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. Pilot Ten Puggioni survived.
