The aircraft ditched in the waters of the Congalee River in Calhoun County southeast of the Columbia Metropolitan Airport (KCAE), Columbia, South Carolina. The airplane came to rest submerged, sustaining unreported damage, and the sole pilot onboard received minor injuries.
