Narrative:
Mosquito TA707: Took off for a Training flight. 28/10/1949
The aircraft was descending from 19,000 feet to 7,000 feet at an airspeed of 350 knots, when there was a significant increase in cabin pressure. On levelling off, the cockpit canopy burst, and showered the tailplane with fragments of Perspex, which caused serious damage - serious enough to result in the aircraft being written off as 'Damaged beyond repair'.
