Narrative:
c/no. 6402: Registered G-AFEY [CofR 8342] 7.3.38 to Scottish Airways Ltd, Renfrew. C of A 6225 issued 11.4.38; delivered 15.4.38. Written off (damaged beyond repair) when crashed at Wideford, Orkney, 18.3.40: While approaching Kirkwall Airport, the twin engine aircraft hit a hill in Wideford, some 5 miles northwest of the airfield. All six occupants were injured while the aircraft was wrecked. For unknown reason, the pilot was performing the approach at a too low altitude and did not see the hill.

Registration G-AFEY cancelled same day due to "destruction or permanent withdrawl from use of aircraft"
