Narrative:
DH.60G Autoslot Moth [Gipsy I #469] registered as G-AAGD [C of R 1942] 11.4.29 to The de Havilland Aircraft Co Ltd, Stag Lane, Edgware. C of A 1985 issued 3.5.29. Registration cancelled 5.29 as sold abroad.

Re-registered in Germany as D-1628 6.29 to Dr Ing Carl Hausbold, Chemnitz. Registered 9.29 to E Hilscher, Chemnitz.

Written off (destroyed) on 11.11.29 when crashed shortly after takeoff from Chemnitz-Jahnsdorf Airfield in Saxony, Germany. The pilot, who was the only person on board, was injured but survived the crash. Registration D-1628 cancelled as destroyed 11.29.

Chemnitz-Jahnsdorf Airfield (ICAO code: EDCJ) is an airfield located south of Chemnitz in the district of Pfaffenhain in the municipality of Jahnsdorf/Erzgeb. It was rebuilt during the GDR era and put into operation in 1978 after the old Chemnitz airfield, which had existed since 1926, had to make way for the Fritz Heckert residential area in 1980
