Narrative:
de Havilland DH.100 Vampire FB.Mk 5, WA418, 202 AFS (Advanced Flying School), RAF: delivered 4/6/1951. Written off 13/8/1952, when the aircraft lost height on final approach to RAF Valley, Anglesey. The Vampire struck the ground and disintegrated on impact. The pillot - Pilot Officer T C Knowles - survived albeit with serious injuries.
