Narrative:During a training flight, as a result of poor visibility, the plane crashed into a mountain. All seven occupants died in the crash.
The aircraft took of at approximately 14.30 to conduct a fighter affiliation exercise with an option of a cross-country navigation exercise, options being weather-dependent.
While descending through cloud around dusk, the aircraft got caught in a rain and snow storm, crashing onto high and exposed ground.
The crew - all members of the Royal Australian Air Force, except for the Flight Engineer - were as follows:
