Narrative:
DHC-1 Chipmunk T10, WG406, 1 BFTS (Basic Flying Training School) RAF: delivered 25/9/1951. Written off 23/2/1953 when crashed in a flying accident one-and-a-half miles South-East of RAF Thame, Haddenham, Oxfordshire.

The pilot was carrying out a series of practice forced landings near Thame, Oxfordshire. The aircraft descended to a very low altitude, and the pilot allowed the aircraft to stall, at which point, it dived steeply into the ground. The pilot (flying solo) was killed
