Narrative:
Gloster Meteor F.Mk.8 WH378: Notified as awaiting collection 15/2/52, delivered to the RAF on 19/2/52. RAF service career was as "N" of 54 Squadron, RAF Odiham (1952-53), and 56 Squadron RAF Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire (1954-55)

Written off (destroyed) 19/4/55: Collided with Meteor F.Mk.8 WK726 during formation change and abandoned near Eye, five miles east of Peterborough. Pilot: Captain C.G. Gillespie USAF (aged 29) ejected safely from Meteor WH378
