Narrative:
de Havilland DH.112 Venom FB Mk 1 WK433: Delivered 21/12/54. RAF service career was with the CGS (Central Gunnery School) and the FWS (Fighter Weapons School) both based at RAF Leconfield

Written off (damaged beyond repair) 19/4/55: While the aircraft was landing at RAF Leconfield, the pilot retracted the undercarriage in error for air brakes on approach. The Venom then bellylanded, slid along the runway at Leconfield, and caught fire. The airframe was burnt out, but the pilot escaped with minor injuries.

Fire-damaged remains were Struck Off Charge as Cat.5(s) on 19/4/55 by 60 MU RAF Rufforth, North Yorkshire
