Narrative:
Gloster Meteor T.Mk.7 WL342: Notified as awaiting collection 19/3/52, delivered 21/3/52. RAF career was with the OFU (Overseas Ferry Unit) and then the FTU (Ferry Training Unit), RAF Benson.

Written off (destroyed) 10/1/55: Shortly after take off from RAF Benson, the aircraft dived into the ground near Crocker End, 1.5 miles North East of Nettlebed, Oxfordshire. The pilot (flying solo) was killed.
