Crashed in flames shortly after take-off. the pilot, Lt Cmdr Robert L Anderson, stayed with the aircraft and crashed in an undeveloped area near W H Burges High School rather than eject over the populated subdivision immediately to the north. the first edition of the school's yearbook has a dedication honoring him.
