Narrative:The aircraft exploded in mid air on the pull out after strafing and bombing a rail car.
The pilot was RCAF J3204 Squadron Leader William Harry Pentland, DFC, he is buried at the Rheinberg War Cemetery in Nordrhein-Westfalen.
